I had the opportunity to work on the remake of the legendary "Firestorm" map as a Level Artist at Onyx Studio.
It was a huge challenge and an incredible journey to keep the integrity of the old map but also improve the overall look, add more detail and realism, and apply the new narratives.
My main assignments were the terrain and nature layers, which was a real playground for an artist to express more meaning, more atmosphere, more war and to try to provide some qualities on the canvas of landscapes and nature. My other task was to improve the detail of the heightfield of the map and scatter objects, paint nature and some debris layers and overall paint the whole terrain as a big painting, then the set dressing was the micro detailing on top of that, creating new environmental content with prefabs, base units, foliage and many type of different assets which are providing a story-telling aspect of the scene. I also feel privileged to get to know and work together with many great and dedicated artists in my team.
